DAY 12 - January 16, 2025

The Transforming Power of Glory

Matthew 6:22-23   “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!"

How is God’s Glory changing me? His Glory is light that penetrates me to my core. It affects me from the inside out as well as the outside in. My exposure to the revelation of the Father through Jesus Christ is the treasure of Glory in my life that is continually transforming me.

Colossians 1:26-27 TPT
There is a divine mystery—a secret surprise that has been concealed from the world for generations, but now it’s being revealed, unfolded and manifested for every holy believer to experience. 27 Living within you is the Christ who floods you with the expectation of glory! This mystery of Christ, embedded within us, becomes a heavenly treasure chest of hope filled with the riches of glory for his people, and God wants everyone to know it!

His Glory is transforming my life from the inside out through the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit. He is also saturating my life with the transforming power of His Glory from the outside in. A perfect example of this is seen through what happened to the first disciples on the Day of Pentecost.

Acts 2:1-4 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

The Holy Spirit fell upon those believers and irradiated them from the outside in as fire rested over the head of each one. At the same time, they were being transformed from the inside out as they were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues. God’s Glory was on full display that day in an unprecedented way. Truly, for Believers everywhere, our light is come.

Isaiah 60:1 Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.

Isaiah 60:19 “The sun shall no longer be your light by day, Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; But the LORD will be to you an everlasting light, And your God your glory.

Ephesians 3:16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man.

Glory is light. The science of light is making major advancements in our day. Sunlight and the entire spectrum of invisible light and radio waves is all around us every day affecting our bodies, our health and our technology. Light is a powerful force. But, Glory is the highest expression of light because light is a created phenomenon (Genesis 1), and God is the Creator of all things.

Our eyes are full of light when we are beholding His Glory without distraction (2 Cor 3:18). God’s Glory will fill our entire body with life and health, if we choose to stay focused on Him. If there is no light there is no life. If there is no life there cannot be love. “If our eye is bad, our whole body will be full of darkness”. In the simplest terms, darkness is the absence of His Light, His Glory. If we want to be changed we must pursue His Glory.

READ

Exodus 33:11; Exodus 34:14; Deuteronomy 34:9;  Joshua 1:1-9

ACTIVATION

“Beholding” is achieved when we practice these several things:

1. We Worship (Psalm 96)
2. We Meditate on what we see (Psalm 119:97)
3. We abide in the True Vine (John 15)
4. We feed on Christ (John 6:56-57)
5. We believe His Word (Romans 10:8-13)
6. We fill our conversation with gratitude (Psalm 100:4-5)
7. We wait on the Lord to renew our youth and our strength. Renewal, Restoration and Rejuvenation are promised to us in the Glory (Isa.40:28-30)
